Restorative Dentistry

  • Fillings

Dental fillings are used to “fill” areas of your teeth that have been damaged by a cavity. After the tooth decay is removed, the dentists at Heritage Oaks Dental use top-of-the-line filling materials that blend seamlessly with your teeth. Fillings are also used to repair damaged, cracked, or broken teeth and even teeth that have been worn down due to grinding.

  • Crowns

A dental crown is essential to protect and restore the part of your tooth that is above the gum line. Your dentist may recommend a crown — or several crowns — if you have any of the following: severe decay, dental implants, weakened teeth, misshapen teeth, breaks or fractures, severely discolored teeth, or damaged fillings that can’t be replaced.

We use state-of-the-art technology, including digital scanning, to produce a very accurate impression of your teeth. This allows us to make crowns that blend in seamlessly with the rest of your teeth. No one will be able to tell which tooth has a crown on it.

  • Bridges

A bridge helps to restore missing teeth by “bridging” the gap where your teeth are missing. A bridge is cemented to the teeth on either side of the gap, and is a permanent, long-term solution to replace missing teeth.

Bridges can be made from porcelain or other tooth colored materials to seamlessly match the rest of your smile.

  • Root Canals

A root canal is a dental procedure designed to save a tooth that's badly decayed or infected by removing the pulp (nerves and blood vessels) and cleaning and sealing the tooth's root canals.

This helps prevent further infection and preserves the natural tooth. Typically, a build-up (essentially a large filling) as well as a crown are paired with a root canal in order to rebuild a damaged tooth.

  • Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots placed into your jawbone to replace a missing tooth or multiple teeth. The implant is made of durable titanium. As tissue and bone build-up around your implant, it becomes a long-lasting fixture to support a crown. Dental implants can help prevent teeth from shifting, bone and gum tissue loss, and they can maintain your normal bite and smile.

Dental implants can be a single tooth replacement option, or multiple implants can be placed to support a bridge for several teeth, or even all the teeth if needed!

  • Partial Denture and Full Dentures

From the first appointment to the final set of dentures, you can trust our expert team to deliver nothing but the best. Denture options at Heritage Oaks Dental include: metal framework partial dentures, acrylic partial or full dentures, denture relines, soft denture liners, and implant-supported dentures. We are always keeping an eye on new progressions in denture materials (milled or 3D printed denture materials are becoming amazingly durable and esthetically pleasing!)

From start to finish, the dentists at Heritage Oaks Dental will work with you to customize and create the perfect-fitting denture.

  • All-on-X Implant Supported Bridges

All-on-X Implant-supported bridges, or “Hybrid Dentures,” refer to placing a certain number of implants in each jaw, most commonly 4,5, or 6, depending on the case, to support an implant bridge and replace all teeth. In many cases, teeth can be removed, implants placed, and a fixed temporary healing bridge can be delivered the same day. Once the patient and the implants have fully healed, a final fixed prosthesis is fabricated and delivered.

There are many benefits of hybrid dentures, including: they are permanent, you clean them just like your natural teeth, better speech, better chewing ability, and the implants stimulate your jaw bones, so you do not lose bone density.

  • Extractions

Extractions may be necessary for many reasons, including badly decayed or damaged teeth that are beyond saving, risk of infection from a failed root canal, cracked teeth or roots, risk of infection during chemotherapy or an organ transplant, advanced periodontal (gum) disease, extra or crowded teeth or having no room for wisdom teeth (third molars).

Whatever the reason for extraction, our experienced and skilled dentists will make sure you are comfortable before, during and after.
